Turkey Burgers

So, here is another YUMMO recipe for your tasting pleasure! This one came to me via my sister, and she found it online...I think it is a weight watchers recipe. You can make it this way the first time, and then make it your own!  We don't buy beef anymore, and have come to really love ground turkey breast and ground chicken breast. Ground turkey just needs a bit more flavor added to it (garlic, shallots, ect) but it is 99% fat free, and really tastey! We use it for tacos, spag sauces, lettuce wraps, and these yummy turkey burgers. I'm eating one as I post this, and thought you just had to try them!

1-1.5 pounds ground turkey
2/3 to 1 cup ground monteray jack cheese (it binds it all together)
1 tbs. ketchup
1 tbs. low sodium soy sauce
2 shallots chopped finely (small to medium sized shallots)
2-3 cloves minced garlic (fresh is best)
1/4 tsp. pepper

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together, form into thinner patties. Cook on medium heat for about 4 minutes per side. Coat pan with non stick spray.
Serve with turkey bacon if desired. (we dont roll that way, so i dont know if it is good or not), whatever condiments you like!!

*We usually have a green/spinach salad, carrot sticks and some sort of fresh fruit. Healthy and delicious!
